Flanagan was a reporter of the week for The Keith Olbermann Evening News. Flanagan was a sports reporter at ESPN between 2000 and in 2006. She worked at ESPN from 2000-2006, reporting on college football. She was a sideline reporter during the College World Series the Women's tennis association's tour championships for men's basketball tournament and also the NCAA Women's basketball tournament. Flanagan was a reporter for all of Lakers Dodgers Angels UCLA USC USA Chargers and The Dodgers Dodgers' Angels. Additionally, she covered spring training and the NBA Playoffs, the College Football Bowl, and the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament as well as a report every week on the NFL Monday Night Countdown. On ESPN she helped launch an entertainment-themed segment on SportsCenter named "Hollywood Highlights."
